- Getting to Grips with Latex - Latex Tutorials by Andrew Roberts @ School of Computing, University of Leeds
Here are some tutorials I have written for getting up to speed with this excellent document processing system. If you are not sure why Latex is any good, find out the benefits. I wouldn't consider myself an expert, but I'm learning all the time. I recall finding it quite taxing when I start to learn Latex, which is why I have started these tutorials. However, I hope that my experiences plays to your advantage, since I hope I can let you into the sort of questions and problems I had when I first learning Latex. Excellent guided tutorial written by a professor.

- LaTeX - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
\mathbf{L}\!{}^\mathbf{A}\!\mathbf{T}\!{}_\mathbf{\displaystyle E}\!\mathbf{X}, written as LaTeX in plain text, is a document preparation system for the TeX typesetting program. It is used mainly by mathematicians, scientists, and engineers in academia. It is also widely used by people outside of these fields as a primary or intermediate format (e.g. translating DocBook and other XML-based formats to PDF) due to the quality of typesetting achieved by TeX.

- LyX - The Graphical Tour (1/5)
These pages illustrate how to create and edit a simple LyX file. The goal is to allow you to fairly evaluate how LyX works and whether it is a right choice for you. Since we often hear of misimpressions like "LyX seems too much like [insert large, monopolistic company's word processor here]. Yuck!" or "LyX seems too much like LaTeX. Yuck!", and since we aim to be better than either :-), it's only fair that we show how LyX really works. If you ever edit anything longer than a single sentence, you owe it to yourself to try it out.

- LyX - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
\mathbf{L}\!{}_\mathbf{\displaystyle Y}\!\mathbf{X} (written as LyX in plain text) is a document processor following the self-coined "what you see is what you mean" paradigm (WYSIWYM), as opposed to the WYSIWYG ideas used by word processors. This means that the user only has to care about the structure and content of the text, while the formatting is done by LaTeX, an advanced typesetting system. LyX is designed for authors who want professional output with a minimum of effort and without becoming specialists in typesetting. The job of typesetting is done mostly by the computer, following a predefined set of rules called a style, and not by the author. Specific knowledge of the LaTeX document processing system is not necessary but may improve editing with L

- Making a Resume in LaTeX
The first time I ever did a resume was in 8th grade. That was my first experience with the horror of mixing content and presentation--a lesson I've never forgotten. The problem was that if I wanted to change the font or spacing of something, I had to change it in 50 different spots on the page to make it match. It was awful.
