IGN: The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II Review

Battle for Middle-earth II is proof that EA was serious about getting back into the good graces of serious RTS fans. There's a lot to experience with this entry into the series including three new factions, a redesigned base building mode, some awesome new powers, terrific improvements to the engine, a tighter campaign mode, and both skirmish and War of the Ring. This might actually be a detriment to some players who liked the simplicity of the first game, but I'm quite pleased. It's a pretty traditional RTS, but it's also a very good one.

A photographic diary This Journal(photoblog) is my photographic diary. I post one or more photos every day from places I went, people I met, situations I encountered etc. I have decided to do this as a challenge to myself, and also to evolve as a photographer, since I have to make at least one decent photo a day. I did a journal in 2004, where I learned so much, that I decided to do it again this year.

"More Cowbell" is a line from a April 8, 2000 Saturday Night Live comedy sketch about the recording of the song "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult. Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys. The foundation of rock music. Occasionally strings are used to give a lush, orchestral feel. But we all know when a song needs that extra oomph, that extra push over the top, there's only one thing that will satisfy: The Cowbell.

To FEED THE RAT is a prevention, a cure. A remedy for being sick and tired of being sick and tired, of anxiety, of confusion. An avoidance technique to prevent each superficial day after superficial day leading to the inevitable thinness of meaning in the endless flatland. A rejection of nebulous limits, demands, being a slave to the clock and a having a life lived in bursts. Some people are different; only one percent of the world's population will relate to this. These are unique individuals who have their own stimulants. They are detatched from the rest of society, the normal, mundane, dull everyday society. They are unable to endure an existence that is overwhelmingly safe, predictable and tedious. It is a way of life they are compelled to reject.

It’s hard to keep up with the mastermind of the World Wide Web. In his fast-paced address, Tim Berners-Lee not only recaps the origins of the Internet, but sketches its future. The Web began as “a primeval soup of many things that know each other but haven’t been put together,” says Berners-Lee.
