I have just made a checkin into the contributions repo of an ajax enabled chat module. This module depends on the buddylist module to allow users to chat in real time with their online buddies on a Drupal powered website. The module includes the drupal.js created by thox for enabling Ajax in Drupal. We started off on this module to explore how we can utilize rich internet technologies like AJAX to create something useful within Drupal. The module is shaping up nicely but it can do with more robustness. This is definitely alpha quality code.

If you run a blog, forum, news website, or anything other kind of website that you want people to add to their del.icio.us bookmarks, feel free to grab my Add to Del.icio.us JavaScript. It's a nice simple little piece of code that gets the URL and title of the page and builds it to the post URL. I chose JavaScript so you could use it on HTML pages as well as PHP, ASP, or any other language. Use it, let me know what you think, or if you have ideas to improve it.

Monkeygrease is a very simple servlet filter that will allow a web developer to inject JavaScript, CSS or other elements within a web page. This concept was inspired by the popular Greasemonkey extension for the Mozilla Firefox browser. Greasemonkey empowers a user to alter and enhance any web page by allowing them to execute user scripts (JavaScript) on any page.

I did kind of imply that I would make improvements this Greasemonkey script that adds a "copy this link to Yahoo My Web" functionality to del.icio.us. Specifically, that the script should copy tags and descriptions as well, not just the link and the title. Unfortunately, I had to rewrite the whole thing to get it to work like I wanted it to.
