I save the plastic netting bags that I get oranges or onions in from the supermarket and fill them with styrofoam peanuts. The bag-o-peanuts gets used in the bottom of a large heavy pot to provide filler and drainage. I often use more than one bag for larger pots. During the end-of-year clean-up, the bags-o-peanuts can be removed easily from the soil and stored for use again next year. It's a great way to use two items that often find their way into my home and don't find their way into the recycle bin.
