If you have been around blogging long enough, you will continually hear about the blogging “A List.”This is supposedly a group of “in” bloggers who have massive and popular blogs.Usually the references to the A List are alluding to the fact that they only ever link to each other and that it is very difficult for a new blogger to gain any traction in the world of blogging because they can never get links from this clique. In fact there seems to be at least a littlefor this accusation.» The Blogging “A List” - Jamdo Blog Marketing

There's a new proposal ("URL shortening that doesn't hurt the Internet") floating around for using rev="canonical" to help put a stop to the URL-shortening madness. - Explaining and Showing Broad and Narrow Folksonomies :: Personal InfoCloud
The folksonomy is a means for people to tag objects (web pages, photos, videos, podcasts, etc., essentially anything that is internet addressable) using their own vocabulary so that it is easy for them to refind that information again. The folksonomy is most often also social so that others that use the same vocabulary will be able to find the object as well. It is important to note that folksonomies work best when the tags used to describe objects are in the common vocabulary and not what a person perceives others will call it (the tool works like no other for personal information management of information on the web, but is also shared with the world to help others find the information).

If it does, they leave a forum-like message on SignUp, together with any requests for private credentials. This could all be automated so far. When I next visit the SignUp system, I can look at the requests and check the boxes of any that interest me. Following the appropriate click, SignUp will send the relevant parts of my profile to the remote service. That creates an account for me and does whatever personalization they can with the details that have been supplied.
