  28-year-old Oscar nominee, Heath Ledger, was found dead in his Manhattan home today. His body was discovered at about 3:30 p.m. ET by a housekeeper who went to tell him that his afternoon appointment had arrived. The New York Police Department reported that the actor was found in bed, surrounded by pills.
