- CREDE Standards for Effective Teaching and Learning
The Standards for Effective Pedagogy and Learning were established through CREDE research, and through an extensive analysis of the research and development literature in education and diversity. The Standards represent recommendations on which the literature is in agreement, across all cultural, racial, and linguistic groups in the United States, all age levels, and all subject matters. Thus, they express the principles of effective pedagogy for all students. Even for mainstream students, the Standards describe the ideal conditions for instruction; but for students at-risk of educational failure, effective classroom implementation of the Standards is vital. The research consensus can be expressed as five standards.
CREDE's mission is to assist the nation's diverse students at risk of academic failure due to cultural, language, racial, geographic, or economic factors.

Below is a list of the online instructional modules I have designed to prepare teacher candidates for the Bilingual Cross-cultural Language and Academic Development (BCLAD) and the Preliminary credentials under California legislation SB 2042 and AB 1059. The AB 1059 legislation requires that all new teachers in California be prepared to teach English language learners in their classrooms. The modules address theories, methods and techniques for instructing English language learners in bilingual, sheltered immersion and mainstream classrooms. There are several modules for curriculum design, thematic unit planning, and lesson planning for L2 learners to guide and assist educators in improving second-language, literacy and content-area instruction
